Challenge:
Sabadell has a Regulation of District Councils dating from 1997, a long time has passed since then and the participative dynamics and the associative fabric have changed a lot.
How to collect the current functioning and needs at the level of citizen participation in a Strategic Plan of Citizen Participation that establishes the roadmap and resolves the challenges of participation today? This was the challenge to which we had to respond.
Answer:
We have carried out 7 participatory sessions with the citizens and the associative fabric, and we have worked closely with the Government Team to be able to define what participation model we want and what are the priorities at the level of citizen participation. Thus, the involvement has been key at all levels (technical, political and citizen) to achieve maximum consensus and ensure a shared agreement that serves to establish the bases and joint planning of citizen participation in the municipality.
