In the framework of the elaboration of the diagnosis for the Local Action Plan for Gender Equality, a participatory map with a gender perspective has been produced. It has been constructed using photographs and narrations provided by several women living in Figueres to represent different issues in relation to the public space of the municipality. The results are expressed in two different forms:
• The analytical description of the narratives and photographs about the different spaces: pleasant spaces, care spaces, unsafe spaces, inaccessible spaces and inadequate spaces for care.
• The maps of the results representing in a cartographic support the different spaces of the city.
Both products should contribute to improving accessibility and mobility in the public space, as well as the diversification of their uses, responding to the needs of the whole population.
