The Mental Health Federation of Catalonia intends to establish itself as a reference entity, becoming a representative and defender of the rights of all people with mental health problems and their families; a developer and promoter of policies for the development of a community-based care model; working for the normalization and equal opportunities for people with mental health problems.
8 years ago, the Mental Health Federation of Catalonia started support and accompaniment to a work tool and a territorial dimension of public policy advocacy for mental health. This tool are the Mental Health Round Tables.
The Mental Health Round Tables are forums for the exchange of information, reflection, coordination and research to find solutions to the problems in mental health of each territory, and to facilitate access to resources and services through policies and proximity actions.
The Mental Health Federation of Catalonia proposed to Spora a customized training addressed to the members of the association network involved in it, in order to improve their skills related to the ability to influence public policy and the development of group and participatory processes and intervention projects.
The training intends to achieve the following objectives:
1. To improve skills in group dynamics and participatory processes.
2. To improve competences for the design, implementation and evaluation of projects.
3. To increase the capacity of influence of the round tables in relation to local public policies.
