Challenge:

Providing spaces, time and tools to address the non-therapeutic needs derived from the therapeutic process as well as the need for recovery is essential for people who have or have had a mental health problem as well as for their families. Often all these needs are neglected by the health system, very oriented to the clinical needs (to the treatment).

Answer:

The Activa’t by Mental Health program of the Generalitat de Catalunya is aimed at covering these non-clinical needs. Spora develops together with ActivaMent materials to promote the processes of mutual support. Specifically, drawing up a model of Mutual Aid Groups as well as the training materials to promote them.
