The City council of Barberà of the Valèés has developed several initiatives to improve the food conditions of the schools and kindergartens of the municipality, as well as to promote a better education about food within families.
The Section of Social Welfare and Health of the City council entrusted Spora a research about food and feeding dynamics in the schools and kindergartens of the city.
Objectives of the research:
1. Detect the habits and the educational practices regarding food at school refectories and nurseries.
2. Analyse the meanings, opinion and assessments of the families and of the people responsible for school refectories (coordinators and educators) in relation to this educational place and to his characteristics.
3. Propose actions oriented to improve the incorporation of values, habits and healthy practices regarding food in schools and kindergartens.
