Challenge
The Esperança Foundation offers comprehensive care to individuals and families who are at risk or social exclusion and accompanies them in the development of skills and abilities, with the aim of strengthening their autonomy, promoting equal opportunities and promoting social inclusion. In this line, the Foundation has identified the need to deepen the application of the intercultural perspective in all its services and projects, in order to respond adequately to the needs of an increasingly diverse and plural society. The Foundation recognizes interculturality as an essential dimension, among other things, to ensure that its actions, projects and services are inclusive, equitable and non-discriminatory.

– identify cultural, linguistic or structural barriers that hinder access to services for racialized people;
– examine the approaches and methodologies used by the technical teams in their relationship with racialized people, within the framework of their interventions.
